Infrared emitters

Checking infrared emitter and power connection

Primary infrared emitters

One of the phono jack on the integrated cable has a yellow tag so that it can be plugged to the corresponding phono plug on the remote desktop mount or on the tower mount. Try to match the tags (but it does not matter).

To check that the emitters are receiving power (easier on desktop mount), just use your phone’s camera. You should see something like this:

Removing one of the phono jacks will turn off approximately half the emitters. For the “L” and “R” phono jacks at the base box end, plug the them in as appropriate. (It doesn’t really matter which goes into which, but testing multiple configurations should indicate which side is left and which is right.)

Secondary infrared emitters (different wavelength)

The second infrared emitters uses the LEMO connector for power rather than the two phono jacks. Thus it requires integrated cable2 (the one with two LEMO connectors).

  • Swap the 9-pin D-sub attached to the power supply from the integrated cable1 and to integrated cable2.

  • Use one of the LEMO connectors to power the emitter and the other to power the eye camera.
